Thoughts from this week

This week was a very good one for me! God truly blessed in every possible way. :)

At one point this week, I did let pride kick in, and my flesh took control. I'm so very thankful for such wonderful self-less friends that God has put into my life. Poor them... two of them had to hear my story, (y'all know who you are) and of course, they directed me to where I should always go - Our Father. Plain and simple written in the Bible "Casting all your care upon Him, for He careth for you" I do take it to Him in prayer but my terrible pride causes me to hold back at least the smallest thing. I've been really learning a lot this year. Things make more sense now, and I've seen something in that, that I hadn't seen before. "casting all your cares..." I do the exact opposite, directly going against what the Bible says. :-/

Along with that, throughout the whole time, I had a hymn that has (recently) become extremely meaningful to me stuck in my head, and would not leave for any thing, - Nothing Between. We sang it about two months ago in church. I had heard it before, but never had the words actually sank in. I have been letting several things slip through my mind, and come between "my soul and the Savior". Really, I could give examples of every single line of the hymn to what has happened this week. As I read the lines I instantly thought of everything that I have let come between.

So, with my pride, what am I to do? As one of the friends pointed out during our talk - Paul said "I die daily" I have to deny that I live for me and that I live for Christ. Every word that comes out of my mouth needs to bring glory to Him. The way I act should be conformed to Him. Would He ever say something idle or act prideful? Of course not.

How can I "Keep the way clear, let nothing between."? -- Pretty simple answer to that! Cut off what's taking time off from spending time with Him. Of course, I still need to use the computer for school, but I don't need to be spending nearly as much time as I do on the internet. Baking - whenever I cook, something usually involves the oven, but I have found myself baking just to bake lately, meanwhile I haven't done my devotions, and am behind on my Bible reading.

And what to do with that time -- Of course, read my Bible, but not just 'read' it. study and meditate on it. Pray. Spend a lot more time in prayer. I finally now understand "Pray without ceasing"
And throughout the day, I can think on hymns and things He's done for me and for others. Thinking of His Majesty

"Watching with prayer, and much self denial
I'll triumph at last! With nothing between!"

Steven and Anna took us to play golf on Sunday afternoon, and we went again this morning...:D I brought my camera this time and got some pics.

I hate this hole. with hatred! ;P

I know I said I hated the other one, but this one by far was the worst hole.

A Day in the Spanish Ministry...;D

To re-say (and use as a blog post) what Mr. Febo said tonight...
Our Spanish Ministry meets on Sunday mornings, Wednesday nights, and Lord Supper's Sun. night.
It all started back in 19..something!;D I can't remember! I wasn't even around at that time. We've had several pastors: Mr. Sidler (who started it all) then Mr. Dove (Rick, Jr.) then Mr. Burton, then to Mr. Wido, then (and currently) Pastor Febo.
We've grown from about 12-15 to 50-60!
It's so neat to see everything in there... though we do tend to be off-schedule, and at times, maybe just a tad bit long-winded with our prayer request (ex. - One person takes about 5-10 min to say their request) and testimonies. (Vary from 1 min - 20 min)
Ah... we'll get it some day! :P
Anyways, here are some pictures from this morning, plus our (many) group pictures.

Ah...

Everything seemed to go wrong for me today, so I decided to bake! For some reason, that relaxes me ;)
There's nothing better than ending (well, not really ending, for me) the day with warm peach cobbler and a steaming cup of coffee! No ice cream, but oh well! ;)

Right out of the oven...

Again, *ah...* ;)
